Leaving Agadir behind, travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the towns of Taliouine and Taznakht, known for saffron production and traditional Berber carpets. Along the way, visit the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed village that has featured in many well-known films. Continue to Ouarzazate before crossing some of Morocco’s most beautiful scenery, including the Dades Valley and the impressive Todra Gorge.

As the road leads further south, the landscape gradually transforms into desert. Arriving in Merzouga, you’ll find yourself at the edge of the vast Erg Chebbi dunes, where endless waves of golden sand stretch across the horizon. In the evening, enjoy a camel ride into the dunes and watch the sunset paint the desert in warm shades of gold and orange. Spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying traditional Moroccan hospitality, local music, and a peaceful atmosphere under a sky filled with stars.

The following morning, after witnessing a memorable sunrise over the dunes, begin the journey back to Agadir. Day 1: Agadir – Taliouine – Agdez – Zagora

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Agadir and begin the journey towards southern Morocco. Travel through Taliouine, famous for its saffron fields, and Taznakht, a town well known for its traditional Berber carpets. After lunch, continue to the historic Kasbah Tamnougalt near Agdez, one of the most important kasbahs in the Draa Valley. From here, follow the scenic route through vast palm groves, ancient villages, and desert landscapes before arriving in Zagora. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a welcoming guesthouse.

Day 2 : Zagora - Merzouga Desert

After breakfast you will start your journey on the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” You will pass through the Berber villages in the Dades Valley. 45 Km later you will reach Tinghir. This town is known for its green palm grove and old Jewish area.

After breakfast, continue your journey towards Merzouga, travelling through the changing landscapes of southern Morocco. Stop in Tamegroute to visit its famous green pottery workshops and learn about its rich cultural heritage. Along the way, pass through desert villages, palm-filled oases, and vast rocky plains that showcase the beauty of the Sahara region. Upon arrival in Merzouga, meet your camel caravan and ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun begins to set. Spend the evening in a traditional desert camp, enjoying a delicious dinner, local music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

 
 

Then you will head to the Sahara. You will travel towards Merzouga. On the way you will have time for lunch. Before reaching Merzouga you will pass through Erfoud. People call Erfoud the gateway to the desert. After you will arrive at the beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes.

After a welcome with a glass of tea at a hotel near the dunes your desert adventure will start. You will ride camels through the sands. This will give you enough time to see a beautiful sunset, from the top of the dunes.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert - Agadir

Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, a truly unforgettable desert experience. After breakfast, return to Merzouga and begin the journey back to Agadir. Travel through the diverse landscapes of southern Morocco, passing palm groves, traditional Berber villages, and the scenic Anti-Atlas Mountains. Enjoy several stops along the way to take in the views before arriving in Agadir in the evening, marking the end of your desert adventure.
