3 Days Desert Safari from Ouarzazate to Fes Itinerary

Day 1: Ouarzazate - Valley of Roses - Todra - Merzouga Desert :

Begin your 3-day trip from Ouarzazate to Fes with a drive through the beautiful Skoura Oasis and a visit to the historic Amridil Kasbah. Continue through the Valley of Roses and the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before stopping to explore the stunning Todra Gorges.

Later, arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll ride a camel across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and enjoy a breathtaking desert sunset. In the evening, relax at your desert camp with a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and an overnight stay in a comfortable tent beneath the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga - 4x4 Excursion

After breakfast, we leave the camp and start a fun 4×4 trip around Merzouga. First, we visit a Gnawa village. You can meet the local people and listen to their music. Then, we go to Meffis Mountain to see old mines from many years ago.

Next, we visit a desert family. We sit with them, drink tea, and learn about their daily life. After lunch, you will take a relaxing walk in a desert oasis. It is a calm and peaceful place.

In the evening, we take you to a hotel where you can rest and relax. It will be a great day, and you will have many nice memories from your trip to Merzouga.

Day 3: Rissani - Errachidia - Ifrane - Fes

After an early sunrise, we’ll ride the camels back to Merzouga. Following a refreshing shower and breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back to Fes. Along the way, we’ll pause to share tea with a nomadic family before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again. We’ll stop for lunch in the town of Midelt.

Midelt is a remarkable mountain town, located at an altitude of 1,488 meters and nestled beneath the impressive Jbel Ayachi, which rises to 3,737 meters. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey toward the historic city of Fes, where we’ll arrive by evening, marking the end of the trip.
