Your adventure begins with a drive to Taroudant, often referred to as “Little Marrakech” because of its impressive ramparts and lively souks. Continuing through Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, and Taznakht, known for its handcrafted Berber carpets, you will reach the famous Ait Benhaddou. This remarkable fortified village, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks. After exploring the ksar, continue to Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night.

The next day takes you through the palm groves of Skoura Oasis and along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Passing through the spectacular Dades Valley and the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge, you will experience some of the most breathtaking scenery in southern Morocco. By late afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga, where the first dunes of the Sahara begin to appear on the horizon.

In the evening, ride a camel across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi as the sun sets over the desert. Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Agadir. Travel towards Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech,” where you’ll have time to explore its bustling medina, traditional souks, and impressive ramparts that surround the old city. Afterward, continue through the scenic landscapes of southern Morocco to Taliouine, the country’s saffron-growing region. Enjoy lunch near the historic Kasbah of El Glaoui before continuing to Taznakht, a town renowned for its handmade Berber carpets. Later in the day, visit the remarkable Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient earthen architecture and appearances in numerous international films. Day 2: Ouarzazate – Oasis of Fint – Agdez – Draa Valley – Zagora

Continue to Agdez and visit the historic Kasbah Tamnougalt, one of the oldest and most impressive kasbahs in the Draa Valley. After lunch at a local restaurant, follow the scenic route through the Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and traditional Berber villages. By late afternoon, arrive in Zagora, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a charming guesthouse.

Day 3: Zagora – Merzouga & Overnight Desert camp

Travel from Zagora towards Merzouga through the beautiful desert landscapes of southern Morocco. Along the way, pass through traditional Berber villages, vast rocky plains, and palm-filled oases. Visit the historic village of Tamegroute, known for its ancient Quranic library and distinctive green pottery workshops.
