About Us
Who we are
We are a small travel team based in Merzouga, on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in south-east Morocco. The desert is not a destination we visit — it is where we live and work. That local base shapes everything we do, from the camps we work with to the families we visit and the routes we recommend.
From here, we organise desert experiences around Erg Chebbi and tours across Morocco, from a single sunset camel ride to journeys of up to three weeks covering the Sahara, the Atlas Mountains, the imperial cities, the north and the Atlantic coast.
We operate with our own vehicles and our own guides (as reported by the business owner), which means we stay closely involved in your trip rather than passing you from one company to the next.

How we work
Private, shared and custom
- Private tours — just you and your group, with your own vehicle and driver/guide. You set the pace and can adjust stops along the way.
- Shared tours — on some classic routes, you can join other travellers to keep costs lower. Shared departures are subject to availability and minimum numbers.
- Custom tours — tell us your dates, interests and budget, and we will design a route around you. Our tour builder is a good place to start.
From budget to luxury
We plan trips at different comfort levels — budget, standard and luxury — so the same route can be built around simple guesthouses and traditional camps, or around boutique riads and luxury desert camps. We will always tell you clearly which category is included before you confirm.
Honest planning
- Realistic driving times. Morocco is big. We will tell you when a route is too rushed, and we will not suggest that distant places are quick day trips.
- Clear inclusions. Every quote sets out what is and is not included. Anything uncertain is marked as "on request" or "to be confirmed" until it is.
- Contact us for a price. We quote each trip individually based on your dates, group size and comfort level, and confirm the details in writing.
- Weather and safety first. Sandstorms, mountain snow or road conditions sometimes mean changing plans. When that happens, we explain why and suggest the best alternative.
What we value
Responsible travel
We want the desert to be just as beautiful for the people who live here, and for the travellers who come after you. We encourage longer stays over rushed visits, small groups, and spending money with local businesses — from markets in Rissani to musicians in Khamlia.
Fair pay
The people who make your trip work — drivers, guides, camel handlers, cooks, camp staff, musicians and host families — deserve fair pay for their time and skill. We aim to work with partners on fair, agreed terms.
[TO CONFIRM: any specific fair-pay commitments or practices the business wishes to state publicly]
Community consent
Visits to nomadic families, homes and villages happen only with the consent of the families, with fair compensation for their time and hospitality. We never promise guaranteed access to anyone's home, and we ask our guests to respect privacy — especially when it comes to photographs. Read more in our guide to Amazigh culture and food.
Camel welfare
Camels are central to desert life, and their wellbeing matters to us. We expect the camels we work with to be well fed, watered, rested and properly cared for, with appropriate saddles and loads. If you ever have concerns about an animal's welfare on one of our trips, please tell us.
[TO CONFIRM: specific camel welfare practices — e.g. rest days, weight guidance for riders, veterinary care arrangements]
Leave no trace
The dunes have no rubbish collection by magic. We ask guests to carry out what they bring in, avoid single-use plastics where possible, stay on designated routes for motorised activities, and leave the desert as they found it. Off-road vehicles (quads, buggies and 4x4s) are used only in designated areas.
What we will not claim
Trust matters, so we would rather be clear about what you will not find on this website:
- No invented reviews or testimonials. If you see feedback from guests, it will be genuine and shared with permission.
- No "best" or "number one" claims. You can judge us for yourself.
- No made-up awards, ratings or certifications.
- No guaranteed sightings or experiences that depend on nature — a clear night sky depends on the moon and weather; a visit to a nomad family depends on the family.
- No hidden extras. If something costs more, we will say so before you book.
- No unrealistic itineraries. We will not squeeze Marrakech to Merzouga into one rushed day just to make a trip look shorter.
