Terms and Conditions
Draft notice: These terms are a template. All money and legal specifics marked [TO CONFIRM] must be completed by the business, and the final terms should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before publication. Until then, the terms that apply to any booking are those confirmed to you in writing.
Last updated: [TO CONFIRM: date]
1. About these terms
These terms apply to tours, transfers, desert camps and activities ("services") arranged by [TO CONFIRM: legal entity name], [TO CONFIRM: registered address], [TO CONFIRM: registration / tourism licence number, if applicable] ("we", "us", "our").
By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group. Please also read our cancellation policy and privacy policy.
2. Enquiries and quotes
- Information on this website, including itineraries, driving times and typical inclusions, is a general guide. Prices are shown as "on request".
- A quote is based on the details you give us (dates, group size, comfort level, private or shared) and is valid for [TO CONFIRM: validity period].
- A quote is not a booking.
3. When a booking is confirmed
A booking is only confirmed when we have confirmed it to you in writing (by email or WhatsApp) after:
- We have checked availability for your dates and services; and
- You and we have agreed the payment arrangement (including any deposit) set out in your written confirmation.
Until then, no services are reserved for you.

5. Cancellations and changes by you
Cancellations and changes are governed by our cancellation policy and by the terms confirmed in writing for your booking. Please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
6. Changes by us
Travel in Morocco — particularly in the desert and mountains — depends on conditions outside anyone's control. We may need to change your itinerary, timing, accommodation or activities because of:
- Weather (for example, sandstorms, heavy rain, snow on mountain passes, extreme heat)
- Road conditions, closures or roadworks
- Safety concerns, including the judgement of your guide or driver on the day
- Decisions by authorities
- Availability of accommodation or services
- Force majeure events (see section 13)
Where possible, we will offer a comparable alternative and explain the reason. How significant changes affect payments is set out in our cancellation policy and your written confirmation. [TO CONFIRM: any specific remedy for significant changes]
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Giving us accurate information (names, dates, contact details, pickup location, ages where relevant)
- Holding a valid passport and any visa required for Morocco
- Arriving on time at agreed pickup points
- Following safety briefings and instructions from guides, drivers and activity staff
- Your personal belongings and valuables
- Informing us of any health conditions, mobility needs, allergies or dietary requirements that may affect your trip
8. Health and fitness
Some services involve long drives, heat, cold, altitude (including mountain passes above 2,000 m and trekking above 4,000 m), uneven ground, camel rides, sandboarding or off-road vehicles.
- Please make sure you are fit enough for the services you book, and consult a doctor if in doubt.
- Camel rides, sandboarding and off-road activities may not be suitable if you are pregnant or have back, neck, joint, heart or other health conditions.
- Minimum ages for some activities (for example, driving a quad or buggy) are set by the activity operator and confirmed at booking.
- Guides and activity staff may refuse participation if they believe it is unsafe for you or others.
9. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance before travelling, covering at least medical expenses, emergency evacuation and repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, personal belongings, and any activities you plan to do (such as trekking at altitude, quad biking or other adventure activities). [TO CONFIRM: whether insurance is mandatory for any services]
10. Conduct
We ask all travellers to:
- Treat guides, drivers, staff, host families, other travellers and animals with respect
- Respect local customs, dress modestly in villages and follow guidance at religious sites
- Not use off-road vehicles outside designated areas
- Leave no trace: take rubbish with you and respect the natural environment
- Comply with Moroccan law
We may end services to anyone whose behaviour is dangerous, abusive or unlawful, without refund. [TO CONFIRM]
11. Photography and privacy
- Please ask permission before photographing people, especially women and children, and respect refusals.
- Do not photograph people during prayer or private moments, or in homes without consent.
- Drones are subject to strict Moroccan regulations. Do not bring or fly a drone without checking current rules and obtaining any required authorisation.
- [TO CONFIRM: whether we may take photos during trips for marketing use, and how guests can opt out] We will not use identifiable photos of guests for marketing without their consent.
12. Third-party services
Some services (for example, certain hotels, camps, local activity providers, trains, flights or buses) may be provided by third parties under their own terms. [TO CONFIRM: how responsibility is allocated for third-party services]
13. Force majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform, or delays in performing, our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, epidemics, government action, civil unrest, strikes or closures. [TO CONFIRM: refund or credit approach in force majeure situations — see also our cancellation policy]
14. Liability
[TO CONFIRM: liability clause — to be drafted by a qualified legal professional, including any limitation of liability, exclusions, and statutory rights that cannot be excluded]
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be excluded.
15. Complaints
If something is not right during your trip, please tell your guide or contact us straight away so we can try to fix it on the spot. If you wish to make a complaint after your trip, email safarisaharadesert@gmail.com within [TO CONFIRM: period]. We will respond within [TO CONFIRM: period].
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by [TO CONFIRM: governing law, e.g. the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco], and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of [TO CONFIRM: courts].
