4 days4-Day Atlantic Coast: Essaouira & Agadir
Sea air and ramparts in Essaouira, the coast road via Imsouane, and Agadir’s beaches – a relaxed coastal break from Marrakech.

Agadir is Morocco’s classic beach resort, with sunshine much of the year and a broad sandy bay. It is also a good base for surf spots, palm-filled gorges and the walled town of Taroudant.
Agadir was largely rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake, so it feels modern, with a long promenade and resort hotels. The ruins of the old kasbah on the hill above the city are a memorial and a viewpoint.
North of the city, villages like Taghazout attract surfers, while the Souss-Massa National Park to the south is known for birdlife, including the rare northern bald ibis.
A mild, sunny climate year-round. Winter is popular for sun-seekers; summer is warm but moderated by the ocean.
Day trip or overnight? Paradise Valley and Taroudant are easy day trips from Agadir. Marrakech is a long day; the Sahara (Merzouga or Zagora) requires a multi-day tour with overnight stops.
