First Day : Marrakech - High atlas mountains - Boumaln dades

You will have a time on the 4 Days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Safari. This trip is really fun. It takes you through some of the most beautiful places in Morocco. The 4 Days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Safari starts early at 7:15 in the morning when someone picks you up from your hotel in Marrakech.

You will get to ride in a minibus that has air conditioning, which is really nice and you will drive across the Atlas Mountains. The views from the Atlas Mountains are amazing.

You will make a stop at Ait Ben Haddou, which’s a very old village. Ait Ben Haddou is famous. You can walk around the village and learn about what happened there a long time ago. After you visit Ait Ben Haddou you will eat lunch. Then you will head to Boumaln dades. Boumaln dades is called the “Gateway to the Desert”. It is a place where they filmed a lot of movies.

In the evening you will get to the Dades Valley, which’s a very peaceful place. The 4 Days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Safari will have you staying in a guesthouse, in the Dades Valley. You can. DAY 2 : Dades Valley - Todra gorges - Merzouga Desert

The morning we will start the day with a big breakfast at our guesthouse getting ready for the fun things we will do. Then we will go to the Todra Gorge, a really cool place with huge cliffs and deep canyons that are very impressive. Here you will have time to look around take pictures and enjoy the views that make Todra Gorge so special.

After eating a lunch we will keep going to Merzouga, the place where we get to the Sahara Desert. As we get closer to the desert the scenery changes. Rocky valleys turn into sandy areas and we get more excited about our desert adventure.

The best part of the day is in the evening when we get to experience the Sahara Desert. We will ride camels on the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi feeling the camels moving slowly and the big desert all around us. Then we will get to an nice desert camp in Merzouga. Here you can relax, enjoy the quiet of the desert night see the stars, in the sky and think about all the things we saw and the fun we had.

DAY 3 : Merzouga Desert - Rissani – Nkoub – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to see the desert sunrise. It’s magical. The first light makes the golden dunes look amazing. The colors are breathtaking.

* After that have a breakfast at the Merzouga Desert camp. It’s peaceful and quiet. You are surrounded by the beauty of the Sahara desert. You can go back to Merzouga village on a camel or by 4×4. Both ways are fun. You see the desert from angles.

Then we go to the market in Rissani. It’s old. Has many stalls. They sell spices, crafts and local things. Next we drive to Nkob. The Draa Valley is scenic. It has palm groves, a river and old kasbahs. We end the day in Ouarzazate. It’s, like the movie capital of Africa. Many films are made here. The landscapes are dramatic. You can rest in a riad. Think about all the things you saw today.

DAY 4 : Ouarzazate – The High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Next we will visit the Atlas Corporation Studio in Ouarzazate also known as the “Hollywood of Africa”. This is where movies like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven were made. When we walk through the sets we can learn about how these films were made. It’s a way to see behind the scenes of some of the most famous movies.

After the studio tour we will start driving to Marrakech. We will go through the High Atlas Mountains. On the way we will stop at the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. From there you can see a view and take amazing photos of the mountains and valleys.

By afternoon or early evening we will arrive back, in Marrakech. We will drop you off at your hotel. This will be the end of your 4-day desert adventure. You will have seen mountains, desert dunes, old kasbahs. Experienced the magic of Morocco.
